Gold prices gain on weaker dollar, US stimulus hopes

Spot gold rose 0.3% to $1,912.11 per ounce by 0039 GMT. U.S. gold futures were steady at $1,916.40. Holdings in SPDR Gold Trust , the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, fell 0.23% to 1,269.93 tonnes on Tuesday.
